September 11th Memorial Event

On September 11, 2002, Las Positas College held a one-year anniversary memorial service to honor those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York City.  

Ron Johansen, Coordinator of the LPC Fire Service Technology program, worked with President Karen Halliday to chair the event.  He was assisted by Fire Service Technology faculty and students in the construction of a memorial display on campus.

Helmets from the New York City Fire Department

Helmets from the New York City Fire Department were part of the display created by the LPC Fire Service Technology Program. The photos show the destruction of the World Trade Center during and after the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers.
