Oral Presentation
Physiology 1, LPC, Fall 2008
Choose a subject that explains a normal or pathological physiological condition or a physiological research project. The topics and references must be cleared with the instructor. Clarity and completeness are important. The content of the presentation is to include:
1. title
2. general description of condition or research project and its significance
3. molecular description of condition or research project
4. possible alterations (injury, prescription drug treatment, physical therapy etc) of condition if reporting on a physiological condition or direction of future research of research project.
Schedule:
1. Choose subject. Write a short paragraph about subject and a preliminary outline. List 5 possible references for report. Due Nov. 17, 2008
2. Instructor returns preliminary outline within one week of receipt.
3. Second outline of report due Dec 1, 2008.
4. Presentation to class Dec 1-15. Bring a copy of the grading rubric with your name on it to class on day of presentation.
Presentation:
8-12 min
Graphics required. Must be visible to whole class. Can be large diagrams, projections from the computer, or charts from the Valley Care Library. Power Point presentation is best. Final graphic will list references.
Your talk should be organized into introduction, body of the talk, and summary.
Grading: 50 points possible
Meet deadlines for preparation: 1 pt
